The module covers the important physical illnesses that may impact on the mental health of this population. Since a complication or end-point of many of these processes may be delirium or dementia, this module also looks at how these conditions are diagnosed and treated, with particular reference to people with intellectual disability.
Target audience
The module is intended to provide information to individuals working with people with an intellectual disability who want to increase their understanding of the knowledge and theory about working with people with intellectual disability and mental health problems.
